Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3: Producer Talks About Production, Development

Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase has revealed more information about the making of the third installment of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series during a Famitsu interview. “The development team’s main concept this time is to evolve the Remake to new heights,” he said. The team’s passionate about the project, and Kitase also said that it was a priority for Tetsuya Nomura is also still closely involved with this project as its creative director.

Kitase also talked about the challenges that came with developing a game like the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. “ One of our biggest challenges with developing the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series has been the sheer volume of content we’re trying to deliver,” Kitase said. “We’re not just remaking the original game, but we’re also expanding the story and adding new elements. This has meant that we’ve had to strike a careful balance between staying faithful to the original and creating something new and exciting.”

Crunch Time As Project Gets to Completion

Kitase also talked about the importance of listening to fan feedback. “We’ve been paying close attention to fan feedback throughout the development process,” he said. “We’ve made a number of changes to the game based on this feedback, and we hope that fans will be pleased with the final product.”

Kitase also talked about the future of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series. “We’re not sure how many parts the series will ultimately have,” he said. “But we’re committed to delivering a high-quality experience for fans.”

The Remake So Far

The first installment of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake was a critical and commercial success, selling over 5 million copies worldwide. The game was praised for its stunning visuals, engaging combat, and faithful retelling of the original story. The most recent installment, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, was released for the PlayStation 5 in June 2021. Intergrade includes a new episode featuring Yuffie Kisaragi, as well as a number of graphical and performance improvements.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the third installment in the Remake series. The game is still in development, but Square Enix has not yet announced a release date.
