Led by Middleton's Heroics, Bucks Close Out Series
The Milwaukee Bucks have captured the 2021 NBA championship after defeating the Phoenix Suns in six games. Led by Khris Middleton's 40-point performance in Game 4, the Bucks held off the Suns 109-103 to clinch the title.
Middleton, who averaged 24 points per game in the Finals, was named the NBA Finals MVP. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday also played crucial roles for the Bucks, contributing with 33 and 19 points in Game 6, respectively.
The Bucks' victory marks their first NBA championship since 1971. It is also the first major professional sports title for the city of Milwaukee since the Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl in 2011.
