Eastern Conference Finals: Heat Hold Off Celtics in Game 6, Force Game 7

Wild Playoff Ride Continues for 8th-Seeded Heat

Celtics Force Deciding Game with Last-Second Tip-In

The Miami Heat's improbable playoff run continued on Friday night as they held off the Boston Celtics 104-103 to force a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat, who entered the playoffs as the eighth seed, have now won three consecutive elimination games after trailing 3-2 against both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Celtics.

The game was a back-and-forth affair throughout, with neither team holding a double-digit lead at any point. The Celtics led by four points with just over two minutes remaining, but the Heat fought back to tie the game with less than a minute to go. The Celtics had the opportunity to win the game with a final shot, but Derrick White's tip-in attempt bounced off the rim and fell into the hands of Heat center Bam Adebayo, who secured the victory.

Jimmy Butler led the way for the Heat with 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Kyle Low added 22 points and Caleb Martin chipped in 15 points off the bench. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum scored 25 points, Marcus Smart added 19 points, and Jaylen Brown contributed 17 points.

Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals will be played on Sunday night in Boston. The Celtics will be looking to clinch their sixth NBA Finals appearance in the past 10 years, while the Heat will be aiming to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014.
