Israel Rescues Captives, Over 30 Killed in UN School Airstrike

Breaking: Israel Kills 30 in UN School Airstrike

Dozens of people were killed in an overnight Israeli airstrike on a United Nations-run school in central Gaza, and four Israeli captives were rescued in the aftermath.

Israeli Captives Rescued

Israeli forces rescued four captives from two locations in Nuseirat in central Gaza, the Israeli military said. The captives were identified as Noa Argamani, 26; Almog Meir Jan, 22; Andrey Kozlov, 27; and Shlomi Ziv, 41.

Casualty Count

According to the Gazas Government Media Office, the Israeli airstrike killed 210 Palestinians and wounded more than 400. The Israeli military confirmed the airstrikes, saying it targeted and killed Hamas fighters. However, Hamas armed al-Qassam Brigades said some hostages were killed in Israel's hostage-freeing operation.

International Reaction

The US and 16 allied countries have condemned the attack on the UN school and called for an independent investigation.
