Early Life and Career

David Hallyday, born David Michael Benjamin Smet on August 14, 1966, is a renowned French singer, songwriter, actor, and amateur sports car racer. As the son of iconic singer Johnny Hallyday, he inherited his musical talent at a young age.

Musical Journey

Hallyday began his musical journey in the late 1980s, releasing his debut album "True Cool" in 1988. Known for his eclectic musical style that blends rock, pop, and soul, he has released numerous successful albums throughout his career, including "Sang pour Sang" (1999), "Un Nouveau Monde" (2008), and "Le Temps d'une Vie" (2017).

Acting and Racing

Beyond his music career, Hallyday has also ventured into acting. He has appeared in several films and television shows, including "For Ever Mozart" (1996) and "Carla Bruni: Quelqu'un m'a dit" (2008). Additionally, Hallyday is an avid sports car racer and has competed in various endurance races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Hallyday has been married twice, first to Estelle Lefébure from 1989 to 2001, and then to Alexandra Pastor from 2004 to 2018. He is the father of three children: Emma Smet, Cameron Smet, and Ilona Smet.
